Apricot White Chocolate And Almond Scones Recipe
Ingredients
- 2c. all purpose flour
- 1/3c. sugar
- 2t. baking powder
- 1/2t. salt
- 1/4c. unsalted butter
- 1/2c. heavy whipping cream
- 1 large egg
- 2t. vanilla extract
- 8oz chopped white chocolate
- 1c. toasted sliced almonds
- 1c. chopped dried apricots
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375
- In a bowl combine flour,salt, baking powder,and sugar
- Stir till well mixed
- Cut butter in very small cubes
- With pastry cutter cut butter into flour until it looks like coarse crumbs
- Add almonds, chocolate and apricots
- In another bowl combine cream, egg, and vanilla
- Add the cream mixture to flour mixture and knead just till combined
- On an ungreased cookie sheet pat out a 9in. diameter circle
- With a serrated knife cut into 8 wedges
- Bake 15 to 20 min. till lightly browned
- This would be delish with lemon curd and cream.
