Monte Cristo Recipe
Ingredients
- 3 eggs slightly beaten
- 1/3 cup milk
- 12 slices of bread
- 6 slices swiss cheese cut in half
- 6 boiled or baked ham slices
- margarine
- powdered sugar
- jelly of your choice
Instructions
- Combine eggs and milk. For each Sandwich, cover slice of bread with slice of cheese, ham and second slice of cheese. Top with second slice of bread.
- Dip both sides of each sandwich in egg mixture, brown on both sides in margarine.
- Place on ungreased baking sheet, bake at 425 for 15 minutes.
- Sprinkle with powdered sugar and serve with jelly.
